INFANTS
Your baby’s first year of life is an amazing time, filled with discovery and growth. We will take care of his/her daily needs the same way you do. We will also stimulate a love for learning by stimulating cognitive, emotional and physical development. Our infant teachers will build a warm and loving environment where your baby can build positive and trusting relationships.
The bond we build extends beyond your child to you, so you know your child is in an environment that allows him/her to flourish by enhancing learning and building his desire to discover.
TODDLERS AND TWO’S
This age group is just beginning to explore their world. We provide lots of hands on projects to nurture their desire to touch, taste and feel.
We enjoy coloring, gluing, and finger-painting. We also love to read stories, sing songs, jump and climb. We introduce beginning concepts like shapes and colors.
We love to create with play dough, splash in water, dress up and pretend. When we get tired we take a snooze. Our days are busy, busy, busy, but we learn a lot and have fun along the way.
PRESCHOOL (3-4 years old)
This age group is ready to learn. We focus on beginning concepts (shapes, colors, letters, counting) in the threes and expand on them in the fours (letter writing, sounds, counting). We love science, math, block play, pretend play, puppets, sensory exploration and manipulative play. We love to go outside and explore our world through climbing, stretching, and running. We read stories, sing songs, and enjoy healthy foods and take a rest after lunch. One of the most important things we work on are our social skills. Learning how to get along with others, follow a routine, wait in line, share with others and listening and following directions are key to being successful in school.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN and KINDERGARTEN
This age group’s main goal is to be prepared for Kindergarten. That is why we have consulted with the school district to structure our program around what is required for the children to know before they start school. We focus on communication skills - letter writing and sound recognition, name recognition, reading sight words, writing, listening and following directions. For math, we focus on identifying numbers 0 - 30, counting to 100, sorting, measurement, coin recognition and graphing. We enhance our program with art, music, science and outdoor play. By learning these important skills and following a structured routine, children from our program transition to Kindergarten with ease. For children who attend half day Kindergarten, we supplement their program with the above skills so their learning continues before or after they attend school.
